Uraian Singkat: Within a society, language serves as a mean of communication between individuals. Language is a system of symbols that carries a certain meaning to communicate with people called "linguistic symbol". This can be seen in the form of word or phrases, or sentence. Take the words like "eat", "bread" and "he/she". These words carry meaning because they refer to certain object in the world. In English, "he" denotes a male/man, "she" denotes a female/woman, "eat" denotes an action, and "bread" denotes a type of food.
